Круглый стол «Влияние на архитектуру изменений социальной модели поведения»

On November 12, Anna Karpova, Head of AB LVA-Interior, and Stanislav Kulish, co-founder of the bureau and head of the Virtual Architecture Laboratory, spoke at the round table "The Impact of changes in social behavior patterns on architecture", held as part of the Best Interior Festival. Moderator of the meeting, curator of BIF'20, architect Maria Romanova offered to discuss the challenges faced by society this year — the pandemic, the economic crisis, the decline in consumer ambitions. It was they who dictated the change in social behavior and at the same time influenced the adjustments of the habitual lifestyle of completely different groups of the population. At the same time, the demand for architectural formats of traditional housing and recreation areas has changed.

Experts noted that the current trend was "flight" from the metropolis. Cottage settlements and suburban residential complexes have become popular again. In houses and apartments, it becomes necessary to have a personal space for rebooting and relaxing, arranging an office, dividing the nursery into a playroom and a bedroom. If earlier the owners of houses preferred to visit public sports clubs and spa centers, now preference is given to the arrangement of swimming pools, gyms, bath complexes on their plots.
Significant changes are also taking place in the hotel business — in the not-so-distant future, five-star hotels may disappear, while campsites, glampings and rest homes with various sports areas localized in the forest or near reservoirs will become relevant.
